Plant Characteristics:
This variety features leaves arranged in opposite or nearly opposite pairs; the foliage is glossy and takes on a slender, elliptical shape. While common pomegranate varieties typically bear vibrant red flowers, the Socotra pomegranate variety produces pink blossoms. Pomegranate plants possess strong drought tolerance but are highly averse to waterlogging; excessively wet environments can easily lead to root rot caused by fungal infections.
